Day 01: Arrival in Shanghai ( D )
Arrival in Shanghai. Met and transfered to your hotel in Shanghai. You are at leisure to explore the city on your own for the rest of the day.
Day 02: Shanghai ( B L )
After breakfast, first come to People's Square in the city center, then move on to Shanghai Museum for 1-2 hour visit.
Then walk along the Nanjing Pedestrian Road. It is regarded as the first commercial street in Shanghai. Now Nanjing Road has turned into the number one site for shopping in the city. Continue to stroll along the Bund, one of the most noted architectural symbols of Shanghai. The Bund, or the waterfront,is now surrounded by about 50 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance.
After lunch, visit Shanghai Bazaar and Yuyuan Garden. Yuyuan is the most famous garden in Shanghai. It is located in the heart of Shanghai's Old City (Shanghai bazaar), one of the few existant old tourist places in Shanghai.
Head to the new development zone in Pudong - Lujiazui, which is teemed with the futuristic, avant-garde buildings - Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Building, Bank of China Tower. Taking the elevator to the 88-storey Observation Deck of Jinmao Tower to have a panoramic view of the city.
Day 03: Shanghai - Chongqing by morning flight B D )
Take flight for Chongqing from Shanghai by morning flight. Our tour guide will meet you at the airport. Then have a short visit of Chongqing city. Chongqing is located on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and sitting on the place which links the middle and western parts of China. Then transfer to the port to be on board.
Day 04: Yangtze River (B L D)
Start crusing on Yangtze River in the morning. Offshore excursion to Fengdu ( Ghost City ). Fengdu County is located on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, about 170KM downstream from Chongqing city.
Fengdu is well known for its "Ghost City" in China. It is a must see shore excursion place on the Yangtze cruise. On board.
Day 05: Yangtze River On Board (B L D)
Continiue to cruise on Yangtze River. Today enter the Qutang Gorge. Your Cruise ship carefully pilots its way through the narrow course. At Wushan, disembark the ship and board smaller vessels in order to explore either the Daning River (or Shennong Stream). Reboard the ship and sail through the Wu Gorge.
Day 06: Yichang - Beijing by later afternoon flight ( B L )
Pass through the Xiling Gorge which is the longest and historically the most dangerous of the Three Gorges. We move on to the massive Three Gorges Dam and disembark for a tour of this engineering marvel at Sandouping Village. Cruise Arrival in Yichang at noon. Transfer from cruise to airport, take flight to Beijing by afternoon flight for Beijing. Met and transferred to your hotel in Beijing.
Day 07: Beijing ( B L )
After brekfast, visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world. Then move on to Forbidden City which was once home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
After lunch, continue to visit Temple of Heaven - where dynastic rulers in China used to worship the heaven. Then head to Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family. Return to your hotel in Beijing.
Day 08: Beijing ( B L )
A full day excursion to Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tombs (Dingling). Mutianyu Great Wall once served as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. It is a green section of the great wall in Beijing with wide coverage vegetation. The fortifications and the Great Wall here are featured by many watchtowers on overlapping mountain ranges.
Then move on to Ming Tombs are where 13 emperors of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) were buried. You are arranged to visit Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Tombs. Back to your hotel in Beijing
Day 09: Beijing ( B L )
After breakfast, first visit Beijing Zoo where you can meet the cute Giant Pandas. The Panda Zoo sightseeing takes about 40 minutes. Then drive to Lama Temple,or Yonghegong Lamsery, located in the northeat part of Beijing City, is a renowned lama temple of the Yellow Hat Sect of Lamaism.
After lunch, experience Hutong by taking men-driving rickshaw as the basic means of transportation. Have lunch there with the locals in a courtyard .
Then head to the Olympic Green where you have about 45 minutes to take pictures at the Bird's nest and water cube from its outside. If you would like to visit the inner structure of the stadiums, the tour guide will help you in purchasing the entrance tickets, and you could enter the stadiums for sightseeing on your own and back to your hotel on your own. Transferred back to your hotels. Return to your hotel.
Day 10: Beijing ( B L )
Transferred to Beijing airport for your next destination or you are free on your own.
