Day 01: Arrival Shanghai
Arrival in Shanghai. Met and transferred to your hotel. Free for rest of the day.
Day 02: Shanghai ( B L )
Today’s highlight is your visit to Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Xintiandi.
Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall: Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall is located on People’s Square, adjacent to the municipal government building. Exhibition include models of planned and recent developments, as well as Shanghai’s history
Oriental Pearl TV Tower: a symbol in shanghai like the Statue of Liberty in New York and the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Xintiandi: Rejuvenated old quarter, with lots of cafes, quirky and upmarket shops, western food and close to the major hotels.
Day 03: Shanghai - Yangtze by air ( B L )
Today’s highlight is your visit to Yuyuan Garden and Jade Buddha Temple. Then take flight from Shanghai to Yangtze. On board a cruise for the night.
Yuyuan Garden: Yuyuan is the famous gardens in Shanghai, Located in the center of Shanghai"s Old City, one of the few remaining old tourist sites in Shanghai.
Jade Buddha Temple: Built in 1989, Jade Buddha Temple covers two-and-a-half acres in southwest Houston and consists of the Grand Hall, Kwan-Yin Hall, the Youth Activity Center, a library, a dining hall, several living quarters, and a lotus pond with a statue of Kwan-Yin as its centerpiece.
Day 04: Yangtze ( B L D )
Take cruise at 8:30. Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam. Three Gorges Dam is a Chinese hydroelectric river dam which spans the Yangtze River in Sandouping, Yichang, Hubei province, China. As of 2008, it is the largest hydropower-complex project in the world, more than five times the size of the Hoover Dam. China has embarked on the greatest project since the building of the Great Wall and the Grand Canal -- the Three Gorges Dam project. Arrival in Yichang about 1:00pm.
Day 05: Yangtze ( B L D )
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream. Shennong Stream is part of the Shennongjia Natural Preserve. The length of the stream is 60km (36 miles). The Shennong Stream is a tributary with clear water coming into the Yangtse River. The "stream" runs through steep tributary gorges. It was said that once the ancient asian Bahu people used to live on the sides of the streams thousands of years ago.
Day 06: Yangtze ( B L D )
Excursion to Fengdu ( Ghost City ). Fengdu County is located on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, about 170km downstream from Chongqing city. Fengdu is well known for its “Ghost City” in China. It is a must see shore excursion place on the Yangtze cruise.
Day 07: Yangtze - Chongqing - Lijiang by air ( B L )
After breakfast, transfer to Chongqing, visit Panda Room in Chongqing Zoo. In the Panda Room, you can see Giant pandas, Lesser pandas, Golden hair monkeys, South China Tigers and some other national protected animals.
Day 08: Lijiang ( B L )
Today’s highlight is Mural in Baisha Village and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
Mural in Baisha Village: People painted plenty of murals on the walls of temples with the introduction of the Buddhism in the Ming Dynasty.
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain : The mountain is 5,600 meters in altitude and the best- known massif in the province. Its highest peak is named Shanzidou, has been climbed only once at 1987 by an American expedition.
Day 09: Lijiang ( B L )
Today’s highlights is The Black Dragon Pool and Lijiang Ancient City.
The Black Dragon Pool: It is a famous pond in the scenic Jade Spring Park located at the foot of Elephant Hill. It has become a popular tourist attraction over 700 years ago.
Lijiang Ancient City: The ancient city of Lijiang is located at the foot of the snow-capped Yulong Mountain. It is called the “soul of Lijiang” because the city itself is located where the Han, Tibetan, Nanzhan and Naxi cultures converge and has been a caretaker of civilization for over 1,000 years.
Day 10: Lijiang - Kunming by air ( B L )
After breakfast, take flight from Lijiang to Kunming. Arrival in Kunming, visit The Stone Forest. Located 90km southeast of Kunming, it is the home of the Sani people, their colorful embroidery and minority dances combine with the natural sceneries which will leave you a deep impression.
Day 11: Kunming - Guilin by air ( B L )
After breakfast, visit Green Lake Park. Green Lake Park is one of the most picturesque parks in downtown Kunming just opposite the Kunming University. Then proceed to visit Yuantong Temple. It is the largest temple in Kunming with a history of over 1,200 years.
Day 12: Guilin ( B L )
One day tour of Zhuang and Yao Ethnic Tribes Longsheng Treeaced Field in Longji area. The Longji terraces are situated in Longsheng County about 2 hours drive from Guilin. The rice terraces are built into the hillsides. Zhuang and Yao minority villages dot the area and feature traditional unique architecture where no nails are used in construction. The different minority customs and dressing styles are interesting.
Day 13: Guilin - Yangshuo ( B L )
Pick up from your hotel early the morning around 7:30am. Then drive about one hour to get to the Zhujiang Pier. Then start to take cruising on Li River. The cruising on the Li River is the highlight of the tours in Guilin. You will have lunch on board. You will enjoy the pretty mountains, green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank. Arrival in Yangshuo, visit Yangshuo Moon Mountain. It is a hill with a natural arch. Viewed from different places, the moon takes on different shapes, forming a marvelous spectacle in Yangshuo. The next attraction is Big Banyan Tree, located 7.5km south of Yangshuo, is one of the main scenic attractions of Yangshuo County. The banyan tree is famous for its age and towering beauty that 17 meters high, 7.1 meters around the trunk and covers an area of 1000 square meters.
Day 14: Yangshuo - Guilin - HK ( B L )
After breakfast, take flight for Guilin. Arrival in Guilin, visit Reed Flute Cave. The Reed Flute Cave is a brilliant cave marked on almost all travel itineraries, located 5 kilometers northwest of the downtown Guilin. Next visit Elephant Trunk Hill. Elephant Trunk Hill is located on the western bank of Li River Scenery, the shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk. Then take flight from Guilin to Hong Kong.
Day 15: Hong Kong EXIT ( B )
Transfer to airport for departure.
