Day 01: Arrival Shanghai
Arrival in Shanghai. Met and transferred to your hotel. Free for rest of the day.
Day 02: Shanghai ( B L )
Today’s highlight is your visit to Yuyuan Garden. It was fist established in 1559 as a private garden, located in the center of the Old City next to Chenghuangmiao in Shanghai. Continue to visit the the Shanghai Museum. Shanghai museum is a museum of ancient Chinese art, situated on the People’s Square. After lunch, visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower, a symbol in shanghai like the Statue of Liberty in New York and the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Day 03: Shanghai - Suzhou by train ( B L )
After breakfast, take morning train to Suzhou. First ofall, visit Humble Administrator’s Garden. It constructed in the Ming dynasty, is the largest of all classical gardens in Suzhou. Then head to Grand Canal, the longest man-made waterway in the world. Cruising on the Grand Canal, you can observe the lifestyle of local people. At last, visit silk factory. Suzhou is famous for its silk, at silk factory you can see how the silk is processed from silk worm to woven cloth. Back hotel in Suzhou.
Day 04: Suzhou - Shanghai by train Shanghai - Yangtze by air ( B )
After breakfast, take morning train back to Shanghai, then take flight to Yichang(Yangtze).
Day 05: Yangtze ( B L D )
Take cruise at 8:30. Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam. Three Gorges Dam is a Chinese hydroelectric river dam which spans the Yangtze River in Sandouping, Yichang, Hubei province, China. As of 2008, it is the largest hydropower-complex project in the world, more than five times the size of the Hoover Dam. China has embarked on the greatest project since the building of the Great Wall and the Grand Canal -- the Three Gorges Dam project. Arrival in Yichang about 1:00pm.
Day 06: Yangtze ( B L D )
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream. Shennong Stream is part of the Shennongjia Natural Preserve. The length of the stream is 60km (36 miles). The Shennong Stream is a tributary with clear water coming into the Yangtse River. The "stream" runs through steep tributary gorges. It was said that once the ancient asian Bahu people used to live on the sides of the streams thousands of years ago.
Day 07: Yangtze ( B L D )
Excursion to Fengdu. Fengdu County is located on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, about 170km downstream from Chongqing city. Fengdu is well known for its “Ghost City” in China. It is a must see shore excursion place on the Yangtze cruise.
Day 08: Yangtze - Chongqing by air Chongqing - Xian by air ( B L )
After breakfast, transfer to Chongqing, visit Panda Room in Chongqing Zoo. In the Panda Room, you can see Giant pandas, Lesser pandas, Golden hair monkeys, South China Tigers and some other national protected animals. Then take flight to Xian.
Day 09: Xian ( B L D )
Beginning the day with a once-in-a lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2200-year-old Terra-cotta Army of China’s First Emperor-Qin Shihuang. Three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of am army of 7,000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of the First Emperor. Continue to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the oldest structures in China. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the Xian city’s most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian today. After lunch visit Forest of Stone Steles Museum, the largest and earliest stele forest in China, now it has become Shanxi Provincial Museum.
Tang Dynasty Show in the evening.
Day 10: Xian - Beijing by air ( B L )
After breakfast, visit City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Then move on to Great Mosque. Xian Great Mosque is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosque in China. Take flight from Xian to Beijing.
Day 11: Beijing ( B L )
Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world and Forbidden City which was once home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. After lunch, move on to Temple of Heaven - where dynastic rulers in China used to worship the heaven.
Day 12: Beijing ( B L D )
A full day excursion to the Mutianyu Great Wall. The Great Wall is the landmark of China. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful environment - dense trees and rich grass with the natural colors changing with the seasons of each year. Peking Duck Dinner & Peking Opera in the evening.
Day 13: Beijing ( B L )
Morning tour of old Beijing Hutong. Take rickshaw to explore some of Beijing's old "hutong", traditional courtyart residences cut into blocks by narrow alleyways. Lunch at a family of an ordinary Beijinger's in a courtyard .After lunch, visit Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family. The Summer Palace was used by emperors for 800 years. Back to hotel.
Day 14: Beijing Exit ( B )
