Day 01: Arrival Shanghai
Arrival in Shanghai. Met and transferred to your hotel. Free for rest of the day.
Day 02: Shanghai ( B L )
Today’s highlight is your visit to Yuyuan Garden. It was fist established in 1559 as a private garden, located in the center of the Old City next to Chenghuangmiao in Shanghai. After lunch, move on to the Pedestrians only Nanjing Road. Nanjing Road is a must-see metropolitan destination attracting thousands of fashion-seeking shoppers from all over the world. Then move on to the Bund. The Bund, also called the Zhongshan Road, is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years.
Day 03: Shanghai - Guilin by air ( B L )
Today’s highlight is your visit to Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Jade Buddha Temple. Then take flight to Guilin.
Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall: Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall is located on People’s Square, adjacent to the municipal government building. Exhibition include models of planned and recent developments, as well as Shanghai’s history
Oriental Pearl TV Tower: a symbol in shanghai like the Statue of Liberty in New York and the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Jade Buddha Temple: Built in 1989, Jade Buddha Temple covers two-and-a-half acres in southwest Houston and consists of the Grand Hall, Kwan-Yin Hall, the Youth Activity Center, a library, a dining hall, several living quarters, and a lotus pond with a statue of Kwan-Yin as its centerpiece.
Day 04: Guilin ( B L )
After breakfast, take flight for Guilin. Arrival in Guilin, visit Reed Flute Cave. The Reed Flute Cave is a brilliant cave marked on almost all travel itineraries, located 5 kilometers northwest of the downtown Guilin. Next visit Fubo Hill, a AAAA scenic spot of national garden, famous for the Pearl-Returning Cave. Finally visit Elephant Trunk Hill. Elephant Trunk Hill is located on the western bank of Li River Scenery, the shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk.
Day 05: Guilin ( B L )
Pick up from your hotel early the morning around 7:30am. Then drive about one hour to get to the Zhujiang Pier. Then start to take cruising on Li River. The cruising on the Li River is the highlight of the tours in Guilin. You will have lunch on board. You will enjoy the pretty mountains, green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank.
Day 06: Guilin - Chongqing (Yangtze) by air ( B L )
After breakfast, visit Yangshuo Moon Mountain. It is a hill with a natural arch. Viewed from different places, the moon takes on different shapes, forming a marvelous spectacle in Yangshuo. The next attraction is Big Banyan Tree, located 7.5km south of Yangshuo, is one of the main scenic attractions of Yangshuo County. The banyan tree is famous for its age and towering beauty that 17 meters high, 7.1 meters around the trunk and covers an area of 1000 square meters. Transfer to Guilin airport. Take flight to Chongqing.
Day 07: Yangtze ( B L D )
Excursion to Fengdu. Fengdu County is located on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, about 170km downstream from Chongqing city. Fengdu is well known for its “Ghost City” in China. It is a must see shore excursion place on the Yangtze cruise.
Day 08: Yangtze ( B L D )
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream. Shennong Stream is part of the Shennongjia Natural Preserve. The length of the stream is 60km (36 miles). The Shennong Stream is a tributary with clear water coming into the Yangtse River. The "stream" runs through steep tributary gorges. It was said that once the ancient asian Bahu people used to live on the sides of the streams thousands of years ago.
Day 09: Yangtze - Chongqing - Xian by air ( B )
Take cruise at 8:30. Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam. Three Gorges Dam is a Chinese hydroelectric river dam which spans the Yangtze River in Sandouping, Yichang, Hubei province, China. As of 2008, it is the largest hydropower-complex project in the world, more than five times the size of the Hoover Dam. China has embarked on the greatest project since the building of the Great Wall and the Grand Canal -- the Three Gorges Dam project. Arrival in Yichang about 1:00pm. Take flight to Xian.
Day 10: Xian ( B L D )
Beginning the day with a once-in-a lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2200-year-old Terra-cotta Army of China’s First Emperor-Qin Shihuang. Three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of am army of 7,000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of the First Emperor. Then visit City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Then move on to Shaanxi Museum, which considers it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. Tang Dynasty Show in the evening.
Day 11: Xian - Beijing by air ( B L )
After breakfast, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the oldest structures in China. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the Xian city’s most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian today. After lunch visit Forest of Stone Steles Museum, the largest and earliest stele forest in China, now it has become Shanxi Provincial Museum. Then move on to Great Mosque. Xian Great Mosque is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosque in China.
Day 12: Xian - Beijing by air ( B L )
Take morning flight from Xian to Beijing. Arrival in Beijing, take rickshaw to explore some of Beijing's old "hutong", traditional courtyart residences cut into blocks by narrow alleyways. Then go to visit Wangfujing Street, many ancient shops in this street, meanwhile modern shopping centers are also built here.
Day 13: Beijing ( B L )
Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world and Forbidden City which was once home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. After lunch, move on to Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family. The Summer Palace was used by emperors for 800 years.
Day 14: Beijing ( B L D )
After breakfast, take morning visit to Temple of Heaven - where dynastic rulers in China used to worship the heaven. Then excursion to the Mutianyu Great Wall. The Great Wall is the landmark of China. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful environment - dense trees and rich grass with the natural colors changing with the seasons of each year. Peking Duck Dinner & Peking Opera in the evening.
Day 15: Beijing Exit ( B )
