Day 01: Arrival in Hong Kong
Arrival Hong Kong Airport. Met and transferred to your hotel. Free for rest of the day.
Day 02: Hong Kong ( B )
Whole day free on your own
Day 03: Hong Kong - Chengdu by air ( B )
After breakfast, take flight from Hong Kong to Chengdu.
Day 04: Chengdu - Chongqing by air ( B L )
Today’s highlight is Wu Hou Temple, Jinli Street and Panda Breeding and Research Centre. Then take flight to Chongqing.
Wu Hou Temple: Enjoying a history of over 1500 years, Wuhou Temple Museum is a 4-A level Scenic Area and also the country’s most influential ancient ruins in the Three Kindoms Period with the longest history.
Jinli Street: Jinli Street was in ancient times one of the busiest of commercial boulevards of the Kingdom of Shu, thus known as the “First Street of the Shu Kingdom.”
Panda Breeding and Research Centre: It is home to giant pandas, the endearing red, or less panda, and other endangered species. Visit the nursery to see the successful breeding programme and view the pandas at rest and play.
Day 05: Chongqing - Yangtze ( B L )
After breakfast, visit Three Gorges Dam, the best exhibits are those on the history of the Yangtze and the Dam. Then proceed to visit Ciqikou Old Town. Ciqikou is an old town preserved in sprawling modern Chongqing, about an hour’s drive form the city centre. It’s an old sleepy town built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. On board a cruise for the night.
Day 06: Yangtze River On Board ( B L D )
Excursion to Fengdu ( Ghost City ). Fengdu County is located on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, about 170km downstream from Chongqing city. Fengdu is well known for its “Ghost City” in China. It is a must see shore excursion place on the Yangtze cruise.
Day 07: Yangtze ( B L D )
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream. Shennong Stream is part of the Shennongjia Natural Preserve. The length of the stream is 60km (36 miles). The Shennong Stream is a tributary with clear water coming into the Yangtse River. The "stream" runs through steep tributary gorges. It was said that once the ancient asian Bahu people used to live on the sides of the streams thousands of years ago.
Day 08: Yangtze - Yichang - Xian ( B L )
Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam. Three Gorges Dam is a Chinese hydroelectric river dam which spans the Yangtze River in Sandouping, Yichang, Hubei province, China. As of 2008, it is the largest hydropower-complex project in the world, more than five times the size of the Hoover Dam. China has embarked on the greatest project since the building of the Great Wall and the Grand Canal -- the Three Gorges Dam project. Arrival in Yichang about 1:00pm. Our local tour guide will meet you at the port. You will be transferred to the Yichang Airport. Take flight for Xian.
Day 09: Xian ( B L )
Beginning the day with a once-in-a lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2200-year-old Terra-cotta Army of China’s First Emperor-Qin Shihuang. Three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of am army of 7,000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of the First Emperor. Continue to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the oldest structures in China. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the Xian city’s most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian today. After lunch visit Forest of Stone Steles Museum, the largest and earliest stele forest in China, now it has become Shanxi Provincial Museum.
Day 10: Xian ( B L )
After breakfast, visit City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Then move on to Shaanxi Museum, which considers it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. Take flight from Xian to Beijing. Tang Dynasty Show in the evening.
Day 11: Xian - Beijing by air ( B L D )
Take morning flight to Beijing. Upon arrival in Beijing, visit Mutianyu Great Wall. The Great Wall is the landmark of China. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful environment - dense trees and rich grass with the natural colors changing with the seasons of each year. Peking Duck Dinner & Peking Opera in the evening.
Day 12: Beijing ( B L )
After breakfast, visit Temple of Heaven --where dynastic rulers in China used to worship the heaven. Then go to visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world and Forbidden City which was once home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Then proceed to visit Hall of Clocks and Watches. This exhibition hall houses about 200 clocks and watches and clocks are mostly made in Switzerland, England, France, the U.S and Japan.
Day 13: Beijing EXIT ( B )
Transfer to airport for departure.
