Day 01: Arrival Guilin
Arrival in Guilin. Met and transferred to your hotel. Free for rest of the day.
Day 02: Guilin ( B L )
After breakfast, visit Reed Flute Cave. The Reed Flute Cave is a brilliant cave marked on almost all travel itineraries, located 5 kilometers northwest of the downtown Guilin. Next visit Elephant Trunk Hill. Elephant Trunk Hill is located on the western bank of Li River Scenery, the shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk.
Day 03: Guilin ( B L )
Pick up from your hotel early the morning around 7:30am. Then drive about one hour to get to the Zhujiang Pier. Then start to take cruising on Li River. The cruising on the Li River is the highlight of the tours in Guilin. You will have lunch on board. You will enjoy the pretty mountains, green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank.
Day 04: Guilin - Chongqing(Yangtze) by air ( B L )
After breakfast, take flight to Chongqing, visit Panda Room in Chongqing Zoo. In the Panda Room, you can see Giant pandas, Lesser pandas, Golden hair monkeys, South China Tigers and some other national protected animals. Then go to visit Ciqikou Old Town. Ciqikou is an old town preserved in sprawling modern Chongqing, about an hour’s drive form the city centre. It’s an old sleepy town built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. On board a cruise for the night.
Day 05: Yangtze ( B L D )
Take cruise at 9:00. Excursion to Fengdu Fengdu County is located on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, about 170km downstream from Chongqing city. Fengdu is well known for its “Ghost City” in China. It is a must see shore excursion place on the Yangtze cruise.
Day 06: Yangtze River On Board ( B L D )
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream. Shennong Stream is part of the Shennongjia Natural Preserve. The length of the stream is 60km (36 miles). The Shennong Stream is a tributary with clear water coming into the Yangtse River. The "stream" runs through steep tributary gorges. It was said that once the ancient asian Bahu people used to live on the sides of the streams thousands of years ago.
Day 07: Yangtze - Yichang Yichang Exit ( B )
Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam. Three Gorges Dam is a Chinese hydroelectric river dam which spans the Yangtze River in Sandouping, Yichang, Hubei province, China. As of 2008, it is the largest hydropower-complex project in the world, more than five times the size of the Hoover Dam. China has embarked on the greatest project since the building of the Great Wall and the Grand Canal -- the Three Gorges Dam project. Arrival in Yichang about 1:00pm. Our local tour guide will meet you at the port. You will be transferred to the Yichang Airport, flight to be departure city on your own arrangement.
