Day 01: Arrival Guilin
Arrival in Guilin. Met and transferred to your hotel. Free for rest of the day.
Day 02: Guilin ( B L )
Pick up from your hotel early the morning around 7:30am. Then drive about one hour to get to the Zhujiang Pier. Then start to take cruising on Li River. The cruising on the Li River is the highlight of the tours in Guilin. You will have lunch on board. You will enjoy the pretty mountains, green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank.
Day 03: Guilin - Kunming by air ( B L )
After breakfast, visit Reed Flute Cave. Reed Flute Cave is a brilliant cave marked on almost all travel itineraries, located 5 kilometers northwest of the downtown Guilin. Next visit Elephant Trunk Hill. Elephant Trunk Hill is located on the western bank of Li River Scenery, the shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk. Then take flight from Guilin to Kunming.
Day 04: Kunming ( B L )
After breakfast, visit Green Lake Park. Green Lake Park is one of the most picturesque parks in downtown Kunming just opposite the Kunming University. Then proceed to visit The Stone Forest. Located 90km southeast of Kunming, it is the home of the Sani people, their colorful embroidery and minority dances combine with the natural sceneries which will leave you a deep impression. Finally visit Yuantong Temple. It is the largest temple in Kunming with a history of over 1,200 years.
Day 05: Kunming - Lijiang by air ( B L )
Today’s highlights is The Black Dragon Pool and Lijiang Ancient City.
The Black Dragon Pool: It is a famous pond in the scenic Jade Spring Park located at the foot of Elephant Hill. It has become a popular tourist attraction over 700 years ago.
Lijiang Ancient City: The ancient city of Lijiang is located at the foot of the snow-capped Yulong Mountain. It is called the “soul of Lijiang” because the city itself is located where the Han, Tibetan, Nanzhan and Naxi cultures converge and has been a caretaker of civilization for over 1,000 years.
Day 06: Lijiang ( B L )
Today’s highlight is Jade Summit Lamasery, Mural in Baisha Village and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
Jade Summit Lamasery: Jade Summit Lamasery, also named Yufeng Temple, built in the Qing Dynasty and famous for camilias in the temple.
Mural in Baisha Village: People painted plenty of murals on the walls of temples with the introduction of the Buddhism in the Ming Dynasty.
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: The mountain is 5,600 meters in altitude and the best- known massif in the province. Its highest peak is named Shanzidou, has been climed only once at 1987 by an American expdedition.
Day 07: Lijiang - Kunming - Chongqing by air ( B )
After breakfast, take morning flight from Lijiang for Kunming. Connecting flight to Chongqing. On board a cruise for the night.
Day 08: Yangtze ( B L D )
Take cruise at 9:00. Excursion to Fengdu ( Ghost City ). Fengdu County is located on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, about 170km downstream from Chongqing city. Fengdu is well known for its “Ghost City” in China. It is a must see shore excursion place on the Yangtze cruise.
Day 09: Yangtze River On Board ( B L D )
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream. Shennong Stream is part of the Shennongjia Natural Preserve. The length of the stream is 60km (36 miles). The Shennong Stream is a tributary with clear water coming into the Yangtse River. The "stream" runs through steep tributary gorges. It was said that once the ancient asian Bahu people used to live on the sides of the streams thousands of years ago.
Day 10: Yangtze - Yichang - Xian ( B )
Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam. Three Gorges Dam is a Chinese hydroelectric river dam which spans the Yangtze River in Sandouping, Yichang, Hubei province, China. As of 2008, it is the largest hydropower-complex project in the world, more than five times the size of the Hoover Dam. China has embarked on the greatest project since the building of the Great Wall and the Grand Canal -- the Three Gorges Dam project. Arrival in Yichang about 1:00pm. Our local tour guide will meet you at the port. You will be transferred to the Yichang Airport. Take overnight train to Xian.
Day 11: Xian ( B L )
Beginning the day with a once-in-a lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2200-year-old Terra-cotta Army of China’s First Emperor-Qin Shihuang. Three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of am army of 7,000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of the First Emperor. Continue to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the oldest structures in China. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the Xian city’s most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian today. After lunch visit Forest of Stone Steles Museum, the largest and earliest stele forest in China, now it has become Shanxi Provincial Museum.
Day 12: Xian - Beijing by air ( B L )
After breakfast, visit City Wall, the most complete City Wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Then move on to Shaanxi Museum, which considers it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. Take flight from Xian to Beijing.
Day 13: Beijing ( B L )
After breakfast, go to visit Temple of Heaven --where dynastic rulers in China used to worship the heaven. After lunch, visit Mutianyu Great Wall. The Great Wall is the landmark of China. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful environment - dense trees and rich grass with the natural colors changing with the seasons of each year. Peking Duck Dinner & Peking Opera in the evening.
Day 14: Beijing ( B L )
Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world and Forbidden City which was once home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Then proceed to visit Hall of Clocks and Watches. This exhibition hall houses about 200 clocks and watches and clocks are mostly made in Switzerland, England, France, the U.S and Japan. At last, visit the National Grand Theater. National Grand Theater, designed by French architect Paul Andreu. Located to the west of Tiananmen Square, it describe as a futuristic signature building.
Day 15: Beijing EXIT ( B )
Transfer to airport for departure.
