Mount Wuyi is situated in the northwest of Fujian Province. Wuyi Mountain boasts its spectacular scenery and rich resource of cultural relics. So in December 1999, It was listed as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site by the UN World Heritage Committee, thus becoming the fourth Mountain in China to be listed after Mt. Taishan, Mt. Huangshan, and Mt. Emei.

Mt.Wuyishan has 108 scenic spots, including its Jiuqu (Nine-Bend) River, Tianyou Peak, Waterfall Cave, Huxiao (Roaring Tiger) Rock, Wuyi Palace, and Lianhua (Lotus) Peak and much more which are scattered over 10 main scenic areas. With its beautiful landscape, cultural relics and fascinating folk tales, Mt. Wuyishan offers an ideal place for re-discovering the charms of nature. Mt. Wuyi is a preserved area for rare and endangered animal species.

Mount Wuyi has convenient transportation. It has a state level airport and a train station. It has a wide range of local handicrafts for gifts and souvenirs. The fragrant Wuyi Rock Tea is one of China's ten most famous teas, and was regularly offered as a tribute to the imperial court from as far back as the Song Dynasty. It is warmly welcomed by the western countries.
