Chengde city is best famous for Bishu Shanzhuang( the Imperial Summer Villa and Mountain Resort), a summer palace for the Qing Emperor that grew to be larger than Beijing Forbidden City and Summer Palace combined. The temple and Mountain Resort buildings of Chengde is wonderful, inclding replicas of Tibetan Potala Palace, Puning Temple and kinds of Tibetan and Mongolian Lama temples.
