Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Arrival in Beijing. Met and transferred to your hotel. Free for rest of the day.
Day 02: Beijing ( B L D )
After breakfast, go to visit Temple of Heaven --where dynastic rulers in China used to worship the heaven. After lunch, visit Mutianyu Great Wall. The Great Wall is the landmark of China. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful environment - dense trees and rich grass with the natural colors changing with the seasons of each year. Peking Duck Dinner & Peking Opera in the evening.
Day 03: Beijing ( B L )
Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world and Forbidden City which was once home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Then proceed to visit Hall of Clocks and Watches. This exhibition hall houses about 200 clocks and watches and clocks are mostly made in Switzerland, England, France, the U.S and Japan.
Day 04: Beijing ( B L )
After breakfast, visit Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family. Then take rickshaw to explore some of Beijing's old "hutong", traditional courtyard residences cut into blocks by narrow alleyways. After lunch, go to visit Beijing Zoo(Giant Panda Hall), was initially named Ten Thousand Animal Garden which was built in 1908, mainly exhibits wild and rare animals growing in China.
Day 05: Beijing - Xian by air ( B L )
Morning Flight from Beijing to Xian. Met &transferred hotel. After lunch, visit City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Then move on to Shaanxi Museum, which considers it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. Tang Dynasty Show in the evening.
Day 06: Xian ( B L )
Beginning the day with a once-in-a lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2200-year-old Terra-cotta Army of China’s First Emperor-Qin Shihuang. Three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of am army of 7,000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of the First Emperor. Continue to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the oldest structures in China. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the Xian city’s most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian today. After lunch visit Forest of Stone Steles Museum, the largest and earliest stele forest in China, now it has become Shanxi Provincial Museum.
Day 07: Xian - Chongqing - Yangtze by air ( B L )
One day tour in Ciqikou Old Town. Ciqikou is an old town preserved in sprawling modern Chongqing, about an hour’s drive form the city centre. It’s an old sleepy town built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. On board a cruise for the night.
Day 08: Yangtze River On Board ( B L D )
Excursion to Fengdu ( Ghost City ). Fengdu County is located on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, about 170km downstream from Chongqing city. Fengdu is well known for its “Ghost City” in China. It is a must see shore excursion place on the Yangtze cruise.
Day 09: Yangtze ( B L D )
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream. Shennong Stream is part of the Shennongjia Natural Preserve. The length of the stream is 60km (36 miles). The Shennong Stream is a tributary with clear water coming into the Yangtse River. The "stream" runs through steep tributary gorges. It was said that once the ancient asian Bahu people used to live on the sides of the streams thousands of years ago.
Day 10: Yangtze - Yichang - Shanghai ( B L )
Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam. Three Gorges Dam is a Chinese hydroelectric river dam which spans the Yangtze River in Sandouping, Yichang, Hubei province, China. As of 2008, it is the largest hydropower-complex project in the world, more than five times the size of the Hoover Dam. China has embarked on the greatest project since the building of the Great Wall and the Grand Canal -- the Three Gorges Dam project. Arrival in Yichang about 1:00pm. Our local tour guide will meet you at the port. You will be transferred to the Yichang Airport. Take flight for Shanghai.
Day 11: Shanghai ( B L )
Today’s highlight is your visit to Yuyuan Garden and the Bund. After lunch, move on to The Shanghai World Financial Center and Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall.
Yuyuan Garden: Yuyuan is the famous gardens in Shanghai, Located in the center of Shanghai"s Old City, one of the few remaining old tourist sites in Shanghai.
The Bund: The Bund is a section of riverfront along the Huangpu river in Shanghai which until the early 1800"s was undeveloped.
The Shanghai World Financial Center: The Shanghai World Financial Center is a supertall skyscraper in Shanghai, China. It is mixed use skyscraper which consists of offices, hotels, conferdence rooms, observation decks, and shopping malls on the ground floors.
Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall: Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall is located on People’s Square, adjacent to the municipal government building. Exhibition include models of planned and recent developments, as well as Shanghai’s history.
Day 12: Shanghai - Guilin by air ( B L )
One day City tour of Reed Flute Cave. The Reed Flute Cave is a brilliant cave marked on almost all travel itineraries, located 5 kilometers northwest of the downtown Guilin. Next visit to Elephant Trunk Hill. Elephant Trunk Hill is located on the western bank of Li River Scenery, the shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk.
Day 13: Guilin - Yangshuo ( B L )
Pick up from your hotel early the morning around 7:30am. Then drive about one hour to get to the Zhujiang Pier. Then start to take cruising on Li River. A cruise along the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo. The cruising on the Li River is the highlight of the tours in Guilin. You will have lunch on board. You will enjoy the pretty mountains, green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank.
Day 14: Yangshuo - Guilin - HK ( B L )
Biking in beautiful Yangshuo. Take flight for Hong Kong.
Day 15: Hong Kong ( B )
Whole day free on your own
Day 16: Hong Kong EXIT ( B )
Transfer to airport for departure.
