Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Arrival in Beijing, met andtransferred to your hotel. Free for rest of the time.
Day 02: Beijing ( B L )
After breakfast,join others on a seat-in coach tour. Pick-up time is between 7:30 and 8:20. First Forbidden City, the largest and best-preserved palatial complex still existing,also known as the Palace Museum. After lunch, visit the Temple of Heaven,the place where the Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. Finally visit Summer Palace,the best-preserved imperial garden in the world that boasts centralized architectural masterpieces as well as scenic beauties. Return to your hotel.
Day 03: Beijing ( B L )
After breakfast,join others on a seat-in coach tour. Pick-up time is between 7:30 and 8:20. Then drive to Ming Tombs,the Tombs of thirteen Emperors of Ming Dynasty with 500 year history located about 50 kilometers to the north of Beijing. After lunch. the drive to Badaling Great Wall takes about 40 minutes. After the tour, transferred to Xian by overnight train.
Day 04: Arrival at Xian by train ( L )
Arrival at Xian in the morning at 7:58 AM. Met & transferred to Melody Hotel in Xian. First visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda (with option for interior visit) for one hour. Consisted of a brick structure of five storeys and about 60 meters high, the Big Goose Pagoda originally built in 589A.D. The Big Goose Pagoda is situated in the Da Ci'en Temple, four kilometers south from the center of the city. It is one of the city's most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian today.
Before moving on to City Wall for one hour visit, you are arranged to go shopping for about 30 minutes at a local special handicraft store. Xian Ancient City Wall has been preserved intact, which is rarely seen in the world. The construction of the Xian City was formally started in the seventh year of Emperor Hongwu's reign (1374) and completed in the eleventh year of Hongwu's reign (1378). The rectangular city wall is 13.7 kilometers in circumference and has 5,984 crenels and 98 places for the garriosn troops to stay in.
After Chinese style lunch, you will visit Bell Tower and Drum Tower for one hour. In Chinese history from Ming Dynasty, each city had a bell tower and a drum tower. The bell was sounded at dawn and the drum at dusk each day in ancient time, a means of telling time. Xian was not exception. The Bell Tower and Drum Tower of Xi'an date back to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The two are located in the center of the Xian city connecting the four roads from east, south, west and north within the city wall.Transferred back to hotel.
Day 05: Xian - Shanghai by overnight train ( B L )
Full day join-in tour to Terra-Cotta Army, Banpo Museum with lunch. The 2200-year-old Terra-cotta Army is the burial site of China's First Emperor-Qin Shihuang. Three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of am army of 7,000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of the the First Emperor. After lunch visit Banpo Museum, which shows the history of the Banpo Site, a typical Neolithic matriarchal community of the Yangshao Culture dating back about 6,000 years.
Transferred to Xian Rail Station and take overning train NO.T137/T140 starting at 18:44 for Shanghai.
Day 06: Arrival at Shanghai
Arrival at Shanghai in the morning at 11:12AM. Met and transferred to Shanghai Bailemen Hotel (3 star). Free for rest of the day
Day 07: Shanghai ( B L )
Full day join-in city tour: Jade Buddha Temple-The Bund-Yu Yuan Garden-Lunch-Old French Concession Area, Visit White House-"Xintiandi" - Pudong Area - People's Square - Shanghai Museum- Back to your hotel.
Jade Buddha Temple: built in 1989, Jade Buddha Temple covers two-and-a-half acres in southwest Houston and consists of the Grand Hall, Kwan-Yin Hall, the Youth Activity Center.
Yuyuan Garden: a very "Chinese" style market with everything you think can be treated "Chinese".
The Bund: also called the Zhongshan Road, is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years.
the Shanghai Museum: the museum contains more than 112,000 Chinese cultural relics from the Old Stone Age to modern times.
Day 08: Shanghai Exit ( B )
Transfer to airport for departure
