Day 01: Arrival Beijing
Arrival at Beijing. Met and transferred to your hotel. You are at your leisure to explore the city for the remainder of the day.
Day 02: Beijing ( B L )
Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world. Then move on to Forbidden City which was once home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
After lunch, continue to visit Temple of Heaven - where dynastic rulers in China used to worship the heaven. Then head to Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family. Return to your hotel in Beijing.
Day 03: Beijing ( B L )
A full day excursion to Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tombs (Dingling). Mutianyu Great Wall once served as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. It is a green section of the great wall in Beijing with wide coverage vegetation. The fortifications and the Great Wall here are featured by many watchtowers on overlapping mountain ranges.
Then move on to Ming Tombs are where 13 emperors of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) were buried. You are arranged to visit Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Tombs. Back to your hotel in Beijing.
Day 04: Beijing ( B L )
Pick up at your hotel around 9:00am, and then head to Beijing Zoo Panda House where you can see the lovely Giant Pandas. Then continue to visit the largest Lama Temple of Beijing - Yonghe Temple, the mysterious Tibet style Buddhism temple.
You will be arranged to have lunch with locals in a typical Beijing resident's house. Then you will be arranged to visit the old Beijing lanes by taking rickshaws. Hutong tour. You will visit the typical Chinese quadrangles. many famous old buildings, like the Bell Tower, where you can explore the real life of ordinary people in Beijing.
Then head to the Olympic Green where you take pictures at the Bird's nest and water cube from its outside. Back to your hotel in Beijing.
Day 05: Beijing - Xian by air ( B L )
Morning Flight from Beijing to Xian. Met & transferred your Hotel in Xian. After lunch, visit Big Goose Pagoda. It is situated in the Da Ci’en Temple, four kilometers south away from the center of the city. It is one of the city’s most distinctive and outstanding landmarks.
Then move on to Xian Muslim Quarter. It is just located behind ( north of ) the Drum Tower, a delightful place you will never miss! The famous Great Mosque is located in the Muslim Area. The bazaar in the Muslim area is most attractive with a wide area of stalls selling everything. The streets and walkways are full of life.
Lastly visit Bell Tower, a stately traditional building, that marks the geographical center of the ancient capital. Transferred back to your hotel.
Day 06: Xian ( B L D )
Beginning the day with a once-in-a lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2200-year-old Terra-cotta Army of China"s First Emperor-Qin Shihuang. Three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of am army of 7,000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of the the First Emperor.
After lunch, drive back to the downtown of Xian and visit Xian City Wall. The City Wall is one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. It was enlarged in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) from the city wall initially built in Tang Dynasty (618 – 907). Now it is 12 meters tall, 12-14 meters wide overing 14 kilometers in length with a deep moat surrounding it. Back to your Hotel.
Day 07: Xian - Nanjing by air ( B L )
After breakfast, take morning flight from Xian to Nanjing. After arrival, first visit Zhonghua Gage, the largest castle style gate among the 13 ancient city gates in Nanjing, the best preserved, architecturally and most complicated ancient castle in the world.
Then go to visit Qinhuai River. Qinhuai River is a branch of the Yangtze River, running about 110 kilometers, a major watercourse around Nanjing city. Next stop is Confucian Temple, built in the Song Dynasty, dedicated to worshiping the great philosopher Confucius. Back to hotel in Nanjing.
Day 08: Nanjing - Suzhou by train ( B L )
After breakfast, take a morning visit to Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, the tomb of Dr. Sun Yat-sun, the great forerunner of democratic revolution of Chian. Then visit Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, the first bridge independently designed and constructed by the Chinese.
After lunch, you will be transferred to Suzhou by highspeed train. Met and transferred to your hotel in Suzhou. You are at your leisure to explore the city for the remainder of the day.
Day 09: Suzhou ( B L )
First of all, visit Humble Administrator’s Garden. It constructed in the Ming dynasty, is the largest of all classical gardens in Suzhou.
Then move on to Pingjiang Road for a stroll. This 800-year old street is the best preserved ancient "water lane" ( in contrast with “water town”) in Suzhou. You cannot find a better place in China in which modernity and tradition match hand in hand. Then visit the Ancient City Gate and Grand Canal. The Panmen City Gate is the oldest city gate in existence in Suzhou city.
After lunch, drive to Zhouzhuang Water Town. Zhouzhuang is known as the No.01 Watertown in China. You will board a Chinese style gondala to cruise the watetown. After the tour in Suzhou and Zhouzhuang, transferred back to your midtown hotel in Shanghai.
Day 10: Suzhou - Shanghai ( B L )
After breakfast, first come to People's Square in the city center, then move on to Shanghai Museum for 1-2 hour visit.
Then walk along the Nanjing Pedestrian Road. It is regarded as the first commercial street in Shanghai. Now Nanjing Road has turned into the number one site for shopping in the city. Continue to stroll along the Bund, one of the most noted architectural symbols of Shanghai. The Bund, or the waterfront,is now surrounded by about 50 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance.
After lunch, visit Shanghai Bazaar and Yuyuan Garden. Yuyuan is the most famous garden in Shanghai. It is located in the heart of Shanghai's Old City (Shanghai bazaar), one of the few existant old tourist places in Shanghai.
Head to the new development zone in Pudong - Lujiazui, which is teemed with the futuristic, avant-garde buildings - Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Building, Bank of China Tower. Taking the elevator to the 88-storey Observation Deck of Jinmao Tower to have a panoramic view of the city
Day 11: Shanghai Exit ( B L )
Transferred to airport for your departure and end of your China trip.
