Day 01: Arrival Beijing
Arrival in Beijing. Met and transferred to your hotel. Free for rest of the day.
Day 02: Beijing ( B L D )
A full day excursion to Mutianyu Great Wall and Sacred Way. The Great Wall is the landmark of China. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful environment - dense trees and rich grass with the natural colors changing with the seasons of each year. After lunch, go to visit Scared Way, also named Scared Road, bordered by stone statues, along which the Emperors to conduct their sacred ceremonies. Peking Duck Dinner & Peking Opera in the evening.
Day 03: Beijing ( B L )
Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world and Forbidden City which was once home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Then, move on to Forbidden City –which was once home to the emperors for ever 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasty. After lunch, proceed to visit Temple of Heaven, one of the most famous sites in Beijing, the best Ming architecture. Back to hotel.
Day 04: Beijing ( B L )
Take a one day Summer Palace & hutong visit. First visit Summer Palace, a fomer summer resort for the royal family. Then back to downtown Beijing, proceed to visit Drum Tower dating from 1420, ascending the big drum tower and having bird's eye view of the surrounding communities of hutongs and siheyuan. Then drive to Mr.Kang's courtyard house for a tea break. After tea break, take a pedicap to visit Da Jinsi Hutong Tao, the most famous hutongs keeping the original layout in the Shichahai area. Then move on to the Prince Gong's Mansion, the private living place of He Shen, a favorite minister of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. Back to hotel.
Day 05: Beijing - Xian by air ( B L )
After breakfast, you will be free in the morning until being transferred to airport for your flight from Beijing to Xian. On arrival at Xian, we will visit the City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. You can also rent a bike ride along the top of the wall.
Day 06: Xian ( B L D )
Beginning the day with a once-in-a lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2200-year-old Terra-cotta Army of China’s First Emperor-Qin Shihuang. Three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of am army of 7,000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of the First Emperor. After lunch visit Bell Tower, you can get a bird’s view of the Xian city from the top. Continue to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the oldest structures in China. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the Xian city’s most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian today. Local flavor dinner--dumpling. Tang Dynasty Show in the evening.
Day 07: Xian - Nanjing by air ( B L )
After breakfast, take flight from Xian to Nanjing. After arrival, first visit Zhonghua Gage, the largest castle style gate among the 13 ancient city gates in Nanjing, the best preserved, architecturally and most complicated ancient castle in the world. Then go to visit Qinhuai River. Qinhuai River is a branch of the Yangtze River, running about 110 kilometers, a major watercourse around Nanjing city. Next stop is Confucian Temple, built in the Song Dynasty, dedicated to worshiping the great philosopher Confucius. Back to hotel in Hangzhou.
Day 08: Nanjing - Suzhou by train ( B L )
After breakfast, take a morning visit to Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, the tomb of Dr. Sun Yat-sun, the great forerunner of democratic revolution of Chian. Then visit Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, the first bridge independently designed and constructed by the Chinese. After lunch, you will be transferred to Suzhou by train.
Day 09: Suzhou ( B L )
First of all, visit Humble Administrator’s Garden. It constructed in the Ming dynasty, is the largest of all classical gardens in Suzhou. Then head to Grand Canal, the longest man-made waterway in the world. Cruising on the Grand Canal, you can oberve the lifestyle of local people. At last, visit silk factory. Suzhou is famous for its silk, at silk factory you can see how the silk is processed from silk worm to woven cloth. Back to hotel in Suzhou.
Day 10: Suzhou - Shanghai ( B L )
Pick up from your hotel around 8:00am. Take a morning visit to Tongli Water Town where with a history of more than one thousand years. There are over hundreds of gardens established during Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty. Then transferred to Shanghai. Visit The Bund, a splendid row of early 20th century European buildings. Proceed to visit Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s main shopping street, known as the No.1 commercial street of China. Back to hotel in Shanghai.
Day 11: Shanghai ( B L )
Shanghai visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Museum. Afternoon visit Yuyuan Garden and Children’s Palace.
Oriental Pearl TV Tower: the Oriental Pearl TV Tower located in Pudong, stands 468 meters high.
the Shanghai Museum: the museum contains more than 112,000 Chinese cultural relics from the Old Stone Age to modern times.
Yuyuan Garden: a very "Chinese" style market with everything you think can be treated "Chinese".
Children's Palace: a place offering talented children after-school-education for gifted children.
Day 12: Shanghai Exit ( B )
Transferred to airport for your departure
