Day by day itinerary: Tour Code: CJ-003

Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Arrival in Beijing, met and transferred to your hotel. Free for rest of the time.

Day 02: Beijing ( B L )
After breakfast,join others on a seat-in coach tour. Pick-up time is between 7:30 and 8:20. First Forbidden City, the largest and best-preserved palatial complex still existing,also known as the Palace Museum.

After lunch, visit the Temple of Heaven,the place where the Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. Finally visit Summer Palace,the best-preserved imperial garden in the world that boasts centralized architectural masterpieces as well as scenic beauties. Return to your hotel.

Day 03: Beijing ( B L )
After breakfast, join others on a seat-in coach tour. Pick-up time is between 7:30 and 8:20. Then drive to Ming Tombs, the Tombs of thirteen Emperors of Ming Dynasty with 500 year history located about 50 kilometers to the north of Beijing. You are arranged to visit Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Tombs. 

After lunch. the drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall once served as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. It is a green section of the great wall in Beijing with wide coverage vegetation. The fortifications and the Great Wall here are featured by many watchtowers on the mountain ranges.

Day 04: Beijing - Shanghai by highspeed train( B )
Today you are arranged to take the 5 hour highspeed train from Beijing to Shanghai.  Arriving at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, met and transferred to our pre-arranged hotel in Shanghai. You are at your leisure to explore the city on your own.

Day 05: Shanghai
After breakfast, join others on a seat-in coach tour. Pick-up time is between 7:30 and 8:20. Full day tour includes  City God Temple, Yu Garden, The Bund, Old French Concession, Pudong New Area, Shanghai 2010 Expo Park and Old Residentail Long Tang.

City God Temple (30 minutes): The City God Temple is a temple located within the old walled city. Today the "City God Temple" is often refered to the traditional area of commerce in the city, dubbed as Shanghai Bazaar that is sourrounded by over a hundred stores and shops and most of these store buildings are nearly a century old. 

Yu Garden (1 hour): Yuyuan Garden is the famous garden in Shanghai, close to City God Temple (Shanghai Bazaar). Yuyuan Garden was in the Ming Dynasty, over 400 years ago. Yuyuan Garden feaures exquisite and unique layout, picturesque scenery and the artistic style of the garden architecture, one of the highlights of Shanghai.

The Bund (40 minutes): The Bund, or the waterfront, is surrounded by about 50 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance. It is opposite to the Pudong New Financial Area with fantastic skyline viewed from the Bund.

Old French Concession (30 minutes): A former foreign concession in Shanghai during the period of 1849 to 1946, including the area of Luwan and Xuhui District, dubbed as Shanghai's most charming district. This area is quiet, tree-lined and teeming with boutiques, bars and restaurants for Shanghai's hedonists.

Local Restaurant for Lunch (1 hour)

Pudong New Area (20 minutes): Formerly a backcountry area, Pudong has grown rapidly since the 1990s and become as China's financial and commercial hub. Pudong is home to many of Shanghai's best known buildings, such as the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Jin Mao Building, the Shanghai World Financial Center and the Shanghai Tower. 

Shanghai 2010 Expo Park (30 minutes): Visit the site of the Shanghai Expo 2010 that took place from May 1–October 31, 2010. The theme of the exposition was "Better City – Better Life". The site is still left with a few splendid archtectures including the China Pavilion, an inverted, imperial-red pyramid known as the Oriental Crown, built at an estimated cost of 1.5 billion RMB.

Featured Shopping at Pearl City (30 minutes)

"Xintiandi" Street (30 minutes): Xin Tian Di is akin to Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong and Clarke Quay in Singapore. It was a former old Shikumen which has been given restoration. Now it is a good blend between the modern and new buildings around and the old area, hence Shikumen Xintiandi, making it into the most ideal site for visitors home and abroad to have a good view of the history, culture, and modern lifestyle of Shanghai.

Drop off service at your hotel before 6:00pm

Day 06: Shanghai Exit( B L )
Transfer to airport for departure and end of your China trip.
