Day by day itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Arrival at Beijing. Met and transferred to your hotel - Beijing Tiantan Hotel. Rest of the time is free for you to explore the city.

Day 02: Beijing ( B L D )
Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world and Forbidden City which was once home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. After lunch, move on to Temple of Heaven --where dynastic rulers in China used to worship the heaven. Then proceed to visit Summer Palace,a former summer resort for the royal family. Peking Duck Dinner & Peking Opera in the evening.

Day 03: Beijing ( B L )
A full day excursion to the Badaling Great Wall and Ming Tombs. The Great Wall is the landmark of China. Ming Tombs are where 13 emperors of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) were buried. Chinese lunch is included. Back to hotel.

Day 04: Beijing - Lhasa by air ( B L D )
Flight from Beijing to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, by air via Chengdu or direct flight. Upon arrival, transferred to Lhasa Hotel. Rest of the day is free for you to get accustomed to the Tibetan climate and altitude.

Day 05: Lhasa ( B L D )
Today, you will go to visit the sacred Jokhang Monastery, a 1,300-year old golden-roofed shrine. Out of the Jokhang, you are right in the center of fascinating Barkhor area, lined with the stalls of an outdoor market selling all kinds of goods. Then come to the western suburb of Lhasa to visit the extraordinary Drepung Monastery founded in 1416. Return to your hotel in Lhasa.

Day 06: Lhasa ( B L D )
Today's highlight is a visit to the architectural and religious wonders of the Potala Palace. In the afternoon, we will pay a visit to the Sera Monastery, located a few miles to the north of Lhasa. Enjoy a Tibetan Song & Dance Performance after dinner.

Day 07: Lhasa - GYANGTSE ( B L D )
Drive to Gyangtse. Get off at the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and transfer to your loacal hotel. First visit the Gyangtse Old Street. Then move on to Palkhor Monastery. Dinner arranged at hotel.

Day 08: Gyangtse -Shigatse ( B L D )
Drive to Shigatse and check in the local hotel. First visit the Tashilunpo Monastery. then visit the New Palace of Panchen. Dinner at hotel.

Day 09: Shigatse -Lhasa Stay at Lhasa Hotel ( B L D )
After breakfast, drive to Lhasa and check in Lhasa Hotel. Dinner at hotel.

Day 10:: Lhasa -- Shanghai by air ( B L D )
Take a morning flight to Shanghai by dirct flight or via Chengdu. Transferred to your hotel in Shanghai. Enjoy an exciting acrobatic show in the evening.

Day 11: Shanghai ( B L D )
Today"s highlight is your visit to Yuyuan Garden and Bazar. It is a very "Chinese" style market with everything you think can be treated "Chinese". After lunch, move on to the"Pedestrians only " Nanjing Road. Nanjing Road is a must-see metropolitan destination attracting thousands of fashion-seeking shoppers from all over the world. Then move on to The Bund. The Bund, also called the Zhongshan Road, is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. Take one hour cruising on Huang Pu River. Huangpu River goes about 100 kilometers from Dingshan Lake, the source, northward to Wusong Kou, where it blends into the Yangtze River. 40 km of the river is within the district of the big Shanghai. Back to hotel.

Day 12: Shanghai Exit ( B )
Transferred to airport for departure
