It is said there are many treasure products in Fujian Wuyishan: dried bamboo shoot, tea, dried Chinese black mushroom，millets, sword-leaved cymbidium, Jianlian lotus seed, sweet scented osmanthus and so on. The most famous one is the Dahongpao tea and Wuyi Rock tea.

Wuyishan Tea
Everywhere of Wuyishan is related with tea. There are tea trees from top to foot of the mountains. What mostly found in big stores or small shops is tea too. What most packed in backpack of tourists just the same is tea as well.
Wuyishan Rock Tea is the general name of all Wuyishan tea, belonging to oolong. What Mt. Wuyishan major produced is oolong - 80% of the annual tea output. Gongfu black tea, which needs painstaking processes, is about 10% of the annual tea output in Huangshan. Green tea is about 7% of the output. Wuyishan oolong boasts the sweet and pure taste of black tea, but also the faint scent of the green tea. It is the titbit of tea. Dahongpao tea is the characteristic genus of Wuyishan famous tea. Dahongpao is composed of two main categories: Rougui and Shuixian (literally means Cinnamon and Narcissus).
Methods of choose high quality tea:
1. wash the cup by boiled water and put in some tea, then cover the cup and wobble the cup; at last smell the tea and good tea will release crude flower or fruit scent 2. have a look of the shape, the technics of making tea is very strict, good tea has nice shape and with little fragment 3. tea-leaf after putting in boiled water, it will unfold in water, if it unfold naturally and smoothly, it will be good tea 4. the tea grown in rock is different from the tea grown in earth, the former one can keep the taste even if it has been made for tea for several times, however the later one is not as durable as the former one

Wuyishan Mushroom
Mushroom refers to Chinese black mushroom. The Chinese black mushroom contains a genus of special component- lentionione. So the black mushroom can throw of a particular aroma after frying or insolating.
Chinese black mushroom is the treasure product of edible fungus. Wuyishan teem with mushroom. You will find dried Chinese black mushrooms on the mountainous road or supermarkets and stores.
Chinese black mushroom is not a delicious dish, but also a precious ingredient. It contains 13.9% protein, 1.7% fat, 62% carbohydrate, 6.3%coarse fibre and 18 amino acid and minerals. It as well contains high quantity of victims.
The Chinese black mushroom is not only a nice food, but also a fine medicine. It is good to stomach and liver. It is proved the mushroom amylose is at present one of the strongest regulator and immune system and it has marked cancer-resist nature. Mushroom can prevent hepatocirrhosis and arterosclerosis. Wuyishan Banboo Shoot
Wuyishan bamboo shoot mainly refers to the dried bamboo shoot. It is another local special product in Wuyishan. Bamboo shoot is rich in protein, calcium, phosphor and so on. Places of Wuyishan such as Jinzhu and Shouyang are famous for best bamboo shoot. And Kuzhu bamboo shoot is also nice in taste. It is a wonderful dish for mountainous people. The bamboo shoot can be dried, pressed, pickled and so on many processing methods. Bamboo shoot after processing is not only good for preserving, but also is still nice in taste. It can be braised with meat, stir-fired with other ingredients and stewed into soup, etc.

Wuyishan Millets
Millets are regarded as the “standing grain for healthy life”. People take millets as fine food with abundant nutrition in summer time. Wuyishan has a long history of planting millets. Having millets is good to lung and spleen. Millets also have the function of relieving internal heat, dispelling rheumatism, and eliminating dropsy. It has efficient component to guard against cancer.

Wuyishan Wild Waxberry
On the streets or roads of Wuyishan, what usually attracts the tourists is the waxberry. There are varied wild fruits in Wuyishan mountains, and the one of the frequent one is the wild waxberry. The waxberries are so red that even turn into purple. You will feel the full juice and you can not help yourself to be mouth watered.
Wild waxberry of Wuyishan is more sweet and vinegary than those planted in green houses. Wuyishan wild waxberries gradually start to ripen and they will be ripened especially after the several showers in summer. The best time to have a taste of the Wuyishan waxberries is from July to August.

Wuyishan Chestnuts
Chestnut tree is a species of Chinese chinkapin with simple lanceolate leaves. The fruit is contained in a sharp-spiny bur. Each bur contains 2 to 4 nuts.
Fresh chestnut fruit produces much lower Kcalories than that of walnuts, almonds, other nuts and dried fruits. It contains very little fat and no gluten, but the carbohydrate content is as much as that of the wheat and rice and the chestnut has twice as much starch as that of the potato.
The fruit of chestnut can be eaten freshly and can also be processed into some other snacks. Local Wuyishan people like to make chestnut starch into round cakes. These cakes are a kind of special local refreshment in the northern part of Fujian Province, particularly the Mountain Wuyishan.

Other Local Special Products in Wuyishan (武夷山其他特产)
Besides those are talked above, there are many more nuts and fruits in Wuyishan. When you are in place of Wuyishan, you will find there are fresh fruits in every season. In fact, Wuyishan is a place suitable for the growing of all kinds of fruit tees or nut trees such as peach, plum, waxberry, pear, loquat, guava, grapefruit, orange, watermelon, Chinese date, sugar cane, chufa, chestnut, and hazel, etc. You can have them in fresh or take some processed products home.

Wuyishan Wubushe Wine
This wine is brewage with a kind of (viper) snake-Hundred-pace viper. People put them into wine and keep for a certain period, and then this wine is totally different from it before. This wine is not only pickled with the hundred-pace viper, but also is contains other Chinese restorative materials such as medlar, ginseng and so on.
