Xujiahui
Most people know Xujiahui is a commercial center, but do not know its history. Why it is called Xujiahui? It literally means the gathering of Xu Family in Chinese and the junction of two rivers. Xujiahui is also a prime residential and commercial place in Shanghai down town area. Four roads meet at the junction of Xujiahui: Hongqiao Road, Huashan Road, Zhaojiabang Road and North Caoxi Road. There are so many large interconnecting malls and supermarkets such as Grand Gateway, Pacific, Orient Shopping Center and etc. There is as well an underground shopping mall with uncountable shops at Xujiahui metro station.
Xujiahui can be described as a shopping place of every thing from cosmetics to vegetables, from pricy fashion global well known ones to cheap ordinary daily products, from clothing and food to electronic wares…

Nanwaitan Fabric Market –Dongjiadu Fabric Market
Nanwaitan is the new name and new place for Dongjiadu cloth market and is the inheriting of Dongjiadu. This is an amazing market for those who want to make a house decoration, a suit for husband, a dress for herself or bedclothes for bed. There are dozens of stalls selling all colors and materials like silk, cashmere, satin, cotton or some else.
