Eat on the Bund
The Bund of Shanghai has its undeniable charming. Swarms of restaurants, street stalls and people head for the Bund. It is now combining excellent and exciting Shanghai cuisine, spicy Sichuan cuisine and exotic restaurants. Then the Bund becomes a delicacies city. Plunging into the crowd is less nice than getting into a comfortable and vide view field to nip a can of beer or a cup of coffee/ Chinese tea. A breath taking and moreish dinning on the Bund is the symbol of bund travel experience. At the entrance of the Bund there is a beer house called "Huang Pu Gong Yuan (Park) Beer Veranda" at the side of the river. A cozy thing to do there is to drink beer by the river side under its large pergola. Bund Brewery (11 Hankou Road) is a place for great beer with unique ambience and fresh tasting. Bund Brewery also named Fest Brew House ranks in the list of world to 500 enterprises. Fest Brew House is a bar and can produce Lager beer, Pilsener beer or ALE beer in front of you. Broadway Mansions Hotel (Shanghai 1934) is at the end of Wai Bai Du Qiao faced to Su Zhou He River. All kinds of delicious cuisines are provided in that hotel. Zha Pu Lu (Road) in the Bund is a place for home style food. Have you ever tasted "Drunk Shrimps"? That is a kind of dish to put the live river shrimps in Chinese schnapps until they are drunk. The 53 th floor is exquisite bar for martini and Piano bar; 54th floor is western food hall; 56th floor is Italian dishes and Japanese cuisine; 87th floor is a wine corridor; 88th floor is the sightseeing hall. Up and down the riverside areas are signs of a welling boom on the Bund. There are many small stores for chaffy dish, pizza, KFC, Mcdonalds and exotic dishes. Tea houses, coffee houses and bars all are available along the Huangpu River.

Wu Jiang Lu (Road)
Wu Jiang Road is a mini pedestrian street for snacks with the length of no more than 200 meters. Located between Taixing Rd and Shimen Yi Lu it was once a food plaza filled of vegetable leaves and chock leathers. But today, it likes becomes Garden of Eden and is always crowed of people as no one can refuse the tempting tasty. Next and be parallel to Nanjing West road it is full of small snack shops including famous Yang"s Fry Dumplings, barbecue rooms and coffee houses. Whatever, you will find every treats here is delicious and full if fun.
Pedestrian streets are not the inventions by Shanghai but Shanghai"s answering to people"s need, and Wu Jiang Rd is the answer to the popular street food. Transportation there is fairy convenient as it is right outside the exit of Metro Line2 Shimen Lu Station and next to Nanjing Road.
Amazing time to Wujiang Road is towards evening-every thing is shining under the multicoloured lights. The charming night life begins here. The outstanding things in street are not like martial buildings in Nanjing Rd but are exquisitely store fronts, neon lights and skill full carved decors. All its features give people easy and casual feelings as they are wandering in their back gardens.
Foods in the street has such a different aroma that they even beat the best star hotels often. There are more than 40 food stores along this mini street. Each shop boasts different characteristic snacks. You can enjoy distinct from every store: "Bu Jian Bu San" for teppanyaki cooking (hibachi (grill)), Zhou Ji Tie Qiao for Chinese baked cake, Jing Qu Ya Jing for peppery bittern duck necks, Yang"s Fry Dumplings, Chao Shou for western food, Ke Fong Fang for confects, Jia Jia for Changsha(the capital of Hunan Province) rice noodles, Niu Da Wan for Lanzhou hand-drawn noodles, Taiwan Rou Zong Da Wang for Zongzi(a rice dumpling), Mei Yi for ice cream, Xiang De Lai for Tibet cuisine, A Mao Mao La Tang for hot spicy hot-pot, Jin Shi Fu for wonton, Hui Wei Lou for crayfish, Dong Fang Kuai Che Xiao Shi for Stewed Meatballs with Brown Sauce...
People are the host of this street, no cars bothering. Flagstone street, trees and flowers lines, fountains, long timber chairs make it a perfect place to have a rest after a busy day life. This leisure road is one more pure-land in boisterous city.

Qibao Old Street
The snack street is the south part if Qibao Old Street usually called "Nan Da Jie" in Chinese. This street is in the center of Qibao Ancient Town in west south suburb area and was divided into two parts by a bridge. Qibao old town boats a history of more than one thousand years with two rivers flowing through. Strangely this road never lack of people or tourists, it is full of people every day! Tasty from Shanghai traditional ones to national wide and exotic make up into a eating world. You will daze in front of varied yummy treats and do know which one you should start with. In that street you will find how small the stomach is!
How to get there? Only 10 minutes drive from Metro Line1 Xin Zhuang Station; taking Tour Line 1 and Tour Line 10 to get there.

Yunnan Lu(Road)
There are a large number of restaurants in Yunnan Road including most famous ones in Shanghai; they are Xiao Shao Xing (chicken restaurant), Xian De Lai (famous for ribswith rice cake), Nan Xiang Man Tou Dian, Beijing Roasted Duck Restaurant, Chang"an Jiao Zi Lou (Dunmplings), Xiao Jin Ling Yan Shui Ya (salted duck)... It is a street covering distinct dishes all over China.
Yunnan Lu is also famous for street food. It is very fun to taste those bizarre treats from the street stalls or vendors. It is mainly in noodles but prepared for all manner of other dishes. Night market is quite hot here; and it is a busiest time for holders in this road as queues of people waited in front of the stall. Stall vendors provide snappy service for every client though buyers are crowed. It is not a boring thing to wait there as some other matters will attract them: people can also feast their eyes on the holders"s cooking processes liking a free kid show. The cooking speed so fast that tourists some times can not catch up the steps. Almost every vendor is a master-hand; even a grandma aged lady can prepare a food called "La Mian" in literally seconds. La Mian is a delicious hand made noodle by scratch and string noodles out of the paste. Other local snacks are widely spread along street.
Yunnan Road is in a superiority location next to the Peole"s Square at the joint of Yan"an Rd and Xizang Rd.

Gu Ling Lu
Gu Ling Lu is a small road between Nanjing West Road and Beijing Road. It was not a neye-string in the past, but now is growing into a featuring leisure street for food and snacks. There is a hotel "Gu Yue Long Shan Hotel" in the entrance of the road. This is a cheap and quality hotel and has Beijing opera and other traditional local drama performance on every Tuesdays and Thursdays. Besides there are "Wu Yue Ren Jia (noodle restaurant) "Jin Shifu Hundun (wonton) "Da Ma Shui Jiao (dumplings) and also the branch of "Kun Shan Ao Zao Guan (a century-old restaurant in Jiangsu Province). Coffee house, take-out meal stores and western food restaurants are all landing to this road. Thronged tourists and dependant go to there especially in weekends.

Zha Pu Lu
Zha Pu Lu is an old street in Shanghai built at the beginning of 1880es. It is the first eating street Shanghai and flourished in 1990es. There is a classic European style bridge named Zha Pu Qiao established in year 1927 at end of road. Zha Pu Road runs through six roads with the north end connected to Sichuan Bei Lu Park. There were more 100 big and small restaurants in this road (about 1 kilometer long) during its heyday in last century, like the blossom flowers in spring. But now it is not as busy as in the past but still worth going for old architectures. When ever night falls pavonine neon lights turns on, the whole road is bright and splendent.

Huang He Lu (Road)
Huang He Lu can be described as the brother of Zha Pu Rd boasting similar history. It is come on to hot business during the middle of 90es in last century. Huang He Lu is closed to Nanjing Road. From there you will catch lots of restaurant for Shanghai cuisine and seafood.People can also find "Bing Tang Hu Lu" (a skewer with fruits such as strawberries, kiwis, oranges, pineapple etc and coated with a clear hard shell of sweet candy), "Kao Chuan" -- small pieces of barbecued meat on a stick and other yummy treats.

Zao Yang Lu (Road)
Zao Yang Lu is a back door way of the East China Normal University. Obviously, it is not as crowed as Wu Jiang Lu, but it is also a kind of tasty paradise. Seems like areas near universities often easily to gather cates. Zao Yang Lu is busy from dark until deep night. During this period it is packed ground booth, barbecue and removable snack stalls. Fried spicy and savory bean curd, popcorn, toast corn, battercake, steamed bread, barbecued meat stick, white fungus soup, teppanyaki cooking... it is a place covering all delicious food.

Raffles City is on No.268 Xi Zang Zhong Lu Road. This is a shopping leisure, shopping, entertainment and dining place. Wu Mi Zhou Hot Pot is a restaurant for chaffy dish porridge.
