Jiuzhaigou Shopping Places (where to do shopping in Jiuzhaigou)
There are few shopping places in Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong area of Sichuan. Though it is a fact, tourists can also get some unique local items. From these places inside or outside Jiuzhaigou, you can do some shopping such as, Pengfengcun, Bianbianjie and Shuzhengzhai including Jiuzhaigou Folk Culture Village and Nuorilang Centre.

Pengfengcun Out of Jiuzhaigou
Pengfengcun is the nearest Tibetan village out of Jiuzhaigou which is on the right of the entrance. It will take about 5 minutes by bus or taxi from Pengfengcun to Jiuzhaigou entrance. Pengfengcun is a good place for shopping. There are all kinds of small stores or shops, restaurants and hotels as well. Pengfengcun can be regarded as the busiest village out of Jiuzhaigou. This village with an area of less than one square kilometers is has all kinds of small stores or shops, restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars. Pengfengcun although is a village, it is as busy as a city. From Pengfengcun, you may get yak meat and all varied small items of Tibetan style. Pengfengcun is not only village full of modern ambience but also keeps a lot of age-old traditional culture such as silver store for handcrafts, folk toggeris full of wonderful clothes. If you need, you would better buy some solid food and bottles of water before entering Jiuzhaigou, because the price will cheaper than the price inside scenic areas.

Jiuzhaigou Bian Bian Jie (the Riverside Street of Jiuzhaigou)
Bian Bian Jie is a special riverside street about 1km far away from Jiuzhaigou entrance. Bian Bian Jie is a new star in Jiuzhaigou and even in China. This street wandering along a small and clean river and itself is a dainty view. Placing yourself in this street you will find endless delight. You can enjoy your cozy time in auberges (flophouses). You can enjoy the coffee in the absolutely exquisite landscape in Jiuzhaigou. There is a market from where you can get many souvenirs and many unique local handicrafts. There is a center for exhibition of folk arts and crafts such as calligraphies, paintings, Thang-ga (Tang Ka), silk, Tibetan handmade carpets, wood carvings, stone carvings and many more. Small commodities from Indonesia, Pakistan, Nepal, Kenya swarm here in Bian Bian Jie at the same time.

Jiuzhaigou Shuzhengzhai (Shuzheng Gully)
Jiuzhaigou Shuzheng Gully is the biggest and busiest village among all the nine villages in Jiuzhaigou. 40% Jiuzhaigou residents inhabit in Shuzhengzhai. At the entrance of Shuzheng Gully, there are nine snow white pagodas, representatives of nine villages in Jiuzhaigou. And the largest Pagoda refers to Shuzheng Village (Gully). There is an folk custom village in Shuzhengzhai called Jiuzhaigou Folk Culture Village. This folk culture village is an ideal place for doing shopping as prices there are cheaper than those in Nuorilang Tourism Shopping Center inside the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Spot. Jiuzhaigou Folk Culture Village originally built in 1996 follow the tenet of entertaining tourists including dining, room, shopping, amusement and visiting. There are lots of stores and shops arranged along the trunk road selling all kinds of Tibetan flavor craftworks and so on. In Jiuzhaigou Folk Culture Village, Shuzhengzhai, the buying and selling are under the folk ambience which is interesting.

Nuorilang Tourists Center
Nuorilang Tourists Center locates in the center of Jiuzhaigou Scenic Spot. This center covering an area of 12000 square meters is not only the tourists-service center, but also the center for handicrafts and souvenirs. Nuorilang Tourists Center is a comprehensive service center. Most of the venders in Nuorilang Tourists Center are local people. The booths are selling stylistic and traditional folk items such as Jiuzhaigou Tang-ga, Qiang embroidery, Tibetan-Qiang silver and gold articles, ginseng, Jiuzhaigou wines, Jiuzhaigou apples, yak meat and so on. You can buy some little special arts and crafts from this market.
