The shopping areas of Hong Kong can be generally divided into two big sections. They are Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. In Kowloon there are four important areas: Tsim Sha Tsui, Jordan, Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok. There are four important areas in Hong Kong Island for shopping too: Central, North Point, Admiralty, Causeway Bay. Tsim Sha Tsui is the heart and soul of Hong Kong. Tsim Sha Tsui can be written as TST in short. Tsim Sha Tsui in Chinese means sandy mouth. It is a major tourist hub in metropolitan Hong Kong with many shops and restaurants. TST reposes at the very tip of Kowloon pointing towards Victoria Harbour. Along with Causeway Bay, this area provides you non-stop shopping opportunities from Harbour City to TST East. Nathan Road is the main street that runs through Tsim Sha Tsui. Jordan
Jordan is an area of Yau Tsim Mong District of southern Kowloon, Hong Kong. Jordan abuts upon Tsim Sha Tsui. When passing through the Park Lane Shopper"s Boulevard of Tsim Sha Tsui, we will arrive at Jordan. Nathan Road and Jordan Road run through this area. Tsim Sha Tsui is a place full of top grade markets and malls; Jordan is a daily living place for working-class of Hong Kong. Jordan can be regarded as a microcosm of the working-class of Hong Kong. Large sections of Jordan host a mix of older residential hight-rises such as office buildings, street markets, hotels, eateries and infinite variety of small shops. Though Jordan is not as luxury as other areas, it still has charm to attract many tourists who love adventures. Besides, gold shops, watch stores and lady shops are standing in great numbers by sides of Jordan Road.

Yau Ma Tei
Yau Ma Tei belongs to Yau Tsim Mong District of southern Kowloon in Hong Kong, China too. In fact, it is next to Jordan area of Hong Kong. Dundas Street is the between Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok is the north border of Yau Ma Tei. Austin Road is between Tsim Sha Tsui and Yau Ma Tei as the south border of it. To its west is Victoria Harbour and its east is hilly region of Ho Man Tin. Yau Ma Tei is an old area in Hong Kong with lots of residential high-rises. It is an area of mixed residential and retail. Every night there is a market selling varied kinds of products such as clothes, decorations, VCD, toys, jade articles, antiques and many more in Temple Street. As goods in this market are cheaper than other places and this is an old local street of Hong Kong, it becomes the touring spots for tourists. There are two side-by-side streets with Temple Street: Shanghai Street and Reclamation Street. Shanghai Street is the main street in Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong. Here in this street buildings keep the Hong Kong styles. Shops of Shanghai Street can generally be divided into three categories: traditional wedding clothing stores, shops for joss sticks and candles (burned when offering sacrifices to gods or ancestors) and kitchen ware stores. One part of Reclamation Street between Nanking Street and Kansu Street is an open air grocery store.

Mong Kok
Mong Kok is an area in Yau Tsim Mong District of Kowloon, Hong Kong. Mong Kok in Chinese means "flourishing or busy corner". Mong Kok is the famous "cheap sale" area of Hong Kong. Shops, malls, stores are crowed in this area. Besides, the most famous "Ladies Street" dwells in Mong Kok too. The real name of "Ladies Street" is Tung Choi Street famous for selling lady clothing and articles. North Point
North Point is a mixed-use urban area on the north of Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong, between Causeway Bay and Quarry Bay. North Point can be divided into three sections according to the distributing of the metro stations. They are Tin Hau, Fortress Hill and North Point. The biggest shopping center is Island Place. From North Point to Pacific Place Shopping Centre and Causeway Bay by metro, it only needs 15 minutes. North Point was once regarded as "Little Shanghai". In early times of Hong Kong, many Shanghai people come here to do business. North Point belongs to the deepest area of Hong Kong. So tourists can have a visit of the ancientry of Hong Kong.

Admiralty
Admiralty locates between the Central and Wan Chai, bordered by Victoria Harbour to the north. Its name "Admiralty" means the former Admiralty Dock in the area which house a naval dockyard. Queensway Plaza is aisle connect Admiralty and Central. There are clothing stores, book stores, restaurants and so on in this aisle. Admiralty is also an area gathering shops famous brand names composed by Queensway Plaza, Pacific Mall, Hutchison House and Admiralty Centre.

Causeway Bay
Causeway Bay is the main commerce and entertainment area of Hong Kong. It is also the busiest, most centralized place for medium and top grade goods and restaurants. Starting from Windsor Plaza to Time Square, there are many well known malls such as Wonder House, SOGO, Sweibu, AIA Palza, World Trade Center, Mitsxuioj and Sincere etc. If you want to finish all the malls in one day, that is impossible. Most shopping malls of Causeway Bay start business from 11:00 or 12:00 and last until 22:00 or 23:00. Time Square is the biggest shopping mall in Causeway Bay. The rest in Causeway Bay is ranked as being one of the most expensive in the world, near that of Sloane Street of London and Fifth Avenue of New York.

Sheung Wan
Sheung Wan is an area in the north-west of Hong Kong Island. It is surrounded by Sai Ying Pun in the west and Central in the east. A hiking shopping is very popular in Sheung Wan. Famous places for shopping are the Western Market, Wing Lok Street, Ladder Street and the Center. Western Market in Edwardian style structure and brickwork walls is one of the oldest buildings in Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. It is now the home of souvenir shops, fabric stores and a handful of restaurants. Wing Lok Street is not far away from the Western Market. It is a market place for Chinese medicine and many varied dried-seafood. Wing Kok Street of Hong Kong is well known as a street of bird"s nest and ginseng. The fourth tallest skyscraper- The Center of Hong Kong is in Sheung Wan too. It composes 73-storey and is totally steel-structured. One part of the Hollywood Road (in front of the Upper Lascar Row) is an antiquing district. Shop fronts display pottery, jade, carvings and other chinoiseries.
