Yuexiu Park ocated in Jiefang North Road, Central District has many historic sites such as Zhenhai Tower, the Dr.sun Yat-sen Monument, the Five Goat Statue and the Sifang Battery. It is named Yuexiu Park because of a mountain called Yuexiu Mountain inside this park. Yuexiu Park is the largest park of Guangzhou with an area of 60000 square meters including 3 got-up lakes and 7 monticules.

Yuexiu Park is regarded as one of the “Great Eight Tourists Sites of Yangcheng (Guangzhou)”. It is famous for both historic sites and natural views. Zhenhai Tower is a 5-layer tower in height of 28 meters. You can ascend to the tower and have a overlook of Yangcheng (Guangzhou). Three manual work lakes are Dongxiu Lake, Nanxiu Lake and Beixiu Lake. Dongxiu and Nanxiu Lake boasting wonderful sceneries are ideal places for painting, sketch, and fishing. And there are adventure playground, barbeque and gymnasium, etc. in lakefront of Dongxiu lakefront. An section of ancient city wall is also in Yuexiu Park, that is city wall of Ming Dynasty with over 200 meters. This city wall is the oldest city wall of Guangzhou of 600-year old. The Five Goat Stature tells a fair legend to show prayers by ancient Guangzhou people. Yuexiu Natatorium and Yuexiushan Palaestra and Guangzhou Art Gallery and so on, many cultural and recreation grounds are in Yuexiu Park.
